Season 3 starts soon, players are already missing the best skills from Season 2

The start of Season 3 in Diablo 4 is already around the corner and is highly anticipated. At the same time, players look with a teary eye at what then falls away.

When does Season 3 start? The next season in Diablo 4 starts on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. We have prepared for you what you should do before the start of S3. The community is already excited about the next chapter because there is new content to experience again.

But the current season 2, which will end on January 23rd, has also won many fans and friends. What content the players will miss is discussed online in the communities.

Will miss the Vampiric Powers so much

This is what the players say: On Reddit, players write about their feelings about the current situation in Diablo 4. In his post, user CranberryDistinct941 writes that the end of the season makes him sad.

“I will miss the Vampiric Powers so much once the season ends,” writes the user. “Especially those [Macht], which deals 80% of your maximum health as damage to others. It was so much fun running into groups of enemies and wiping them all out with a single basic ability.”

With Vampiric Power, Season 2 had a special unique selling point that strengthened your characters.

User Heatingmyharbl replies “A handful of the most popular abilities are being converted into Uniques, like the Malignant Rings. I think what you mean is hemomania? I don’t think it will be a new Unique, but it could be!”

The user means the rings, which are based on the mechanics from Season 1. Blizzard brought them back because many fans wanted the skills back – but also said that something like this won’t happen every season.

Another user said: “I think losing the Blood Harvest Zones will hurt a lot more than losing the Vampiric Powers.”

Another player explains: “You can access them in any world tier, use them to level up your character, use them to level up the powers for the seasonal theme, use them to get equipment […]. I agree it will be a big loss. Hopefully the new theme will be just as fun/useful.”

In the comments, players mention many vampire powers that they will miss in the new season.

We know from Diablo 3 that the seasonal themes were often well received and were requested by players as permanent content. Every now and then, if the gameplay experience wasn’t affected, such changes would be applied to the main game.

It remains to be seen what special content Blizzard has in mind for the coming season. Will you also miss the vampire powers and blood harvests or are you more excited about the completely new content?
