That’s how easy it is to unlock the Crusty Crawler mount in under 2 hours

Want the Crusty Crawler mount in World of Warcraft? We’ll show you how to unlock it in under 2 hours.

The World of Warcraft Trading Post has great rewards every month. Above all, the final reward for completing the travel diary is always an eye-catcher. This time there’s the “Crusty Crawler” – a fancy blue crab that moves sideways.

We reveal how you can unlock the crab in less than two hours.

Why is the crab so worth it? The crab mounts are unique to World of Warcraft. This model has only existed once before and has been hidden in Vash’jir behind weeks or even months of farm work, which also requires a lot of luck. Therefore, it is worth getting the blue crab from the trading post now while you have the opportunity.

Below we show you the simplest and most efficient tasks to unlock the “Crusty Crawler” within a few hours. We paid attention to synergy effects, so that several missions can often be completed at the same time.

What do you have to do to unlock it? To unlock “Crusty Crawler”, you must collect a total of 1,000 travel points in the travel journal in September 2023 and then claim the reward from the trading post (Stormwind or Orgrimmar).

Complete 30 quests

Reward: 200 travel points

The order is self-explanatory. You simply have to complete 30 quests throughout the month. Since there are some new quests at the start of a new patch, that shouldn’t be a problem at all. However, it is particularly worthwhile here that world quests also count.

Complete 15 world quests

Reward: 150 travel points

Completing 30 quests together with the mission quickly results in 350 points and thus already a third of the necessary travel points. When doing the world quests, note that you can also be in the Zaralek caves. The completion of world quests is also necessary for the new dream jumps – simply connect them together.

Gain reputation in the islands

Reward: 150 travel points

You must accumulate a total of 4,000 reputation points to complete this step. You can also do that wonderfully “on the side” while completing world quests or following the new story missions. In any case, remember to accept the quest from Therazal in Valdrakken beforehand, for which you also have to collect reputation. If you have collected 3,000 reputation here, you can turn in the quest and receive another 2,000 reputation points, which immediately completes this quest.

Create Shadowflame Crest

Reward: 150 travel points

This mission is also very easy. All you have to do is craft 3 shadowflame crests – no matter the level. Since you get the Whelplings crest fragments during world quests and when opening treasures, this should also be easy to do “on the side”.

Complete weekly crafting quests

Reward: 100 travel points

100 points are awarded if you complete 2 of the weekly crafting quests. You get these quests in Valdrakken. They usually require you to craft some of your profession’s items – sometimes you just have to turn in resources, like herbs, ores, or enchantment dust. You can also do this step on a second character and collect the 100 points within a few seconds.

Collect 100 Dream Leap Union

Reward: 100 travel points

You simply get flying stones for almost everything in the endgame. Whether it’s story quests, world quests, killing rare enemies or looting treasures. Therefore, you will just casually collect the flying stones while completing the other quests.

However, make sure that you are not at the cap of 2,000 flying stones – otherwise you will not be able to collect any more. When in doubt, spend Flying Stones in Loamm Village to regain space.

Collect 400 Flying Stones

Reward: 100 travel points

You should at least take a look at the new feature of dream jumps, because there are mounts, pets and toys there too. Just look at the world map where a dream jump is currently active. Defeating rare enemies in the area or completing world quests will grant you Dream Leap Union. You can farm 100 of them in a few minutes and often combine them with other tasks (such as completing 15 world quests).

Complete a time rift

Reward: 50 travel points

A time rift begins every hour on the hour northeast of Valdrakken. You only need to successfully complete one of them to get this reward. It is important for the conclusion that you defeat the final boss, who appears behind the portal at the end – everything before is irrelevant. The portal always opens exactly 9 minutes after the start of a time rift.

Of course you can also fulfill other tasks and save some missions that you don’t feel like doing. However, the missions presented here ensure the fastest progress and should give you the crab in less than 2 hours.

However, if you still visit a lot of dungeons or raids, you can also take it slower – because you also get a lot of travel points.

Did you get the crab yet?
