World Health Organization (WHO) Global Emergency Director Mike Ryan made evaluations at the WHO’s weekly press conference.
“PEOPLE ARE IN A DESPERATE SITUATION”
Answering a question about the famine situation in Gaza, Ryan said, “People in Gaza are desperate. We are talking about these desperate people taking food from trucks. The people of Gaza are dying of hunger. Those in Gaza are a people pushed to the brink and they are not a party to this conflict.” said.
Ryan called for the protection of healthcare facilities and civilians in Gaza.
