Update 7.3.4 from January 30th is here – all patch notes and information

Destiny 2 is receiving another update this Tuesday. For the players, this means a short break from gaming. MeinMMO tells you when you can log in again.

This is what you need to know today: Like almost every Tuesday, there is a new update for Destiny today. This requires the servers to go offline, which means you won’t be able to play for some time.

However, MeinMMO will keep you updated. We’ll tell you how long the downtime will last. We will also update this article as new information becomes available.

Update history:

6:05 p.m.: The update is here. On the PC the file is 684.0 MB. Once you have downloaded it you can log back into the game.

3:19 p.m.: The servers have just gone offline. You can find the further schedule of the update further down in the article.

14:00 clock: Background maintenance has started. Therefore, minor problems in the form of error codes can occur. Please keep this in mind if you are still in the game so close to the server down.

Maintenance on January 30th – All times for server down

These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtimes. It is planned that the servers will not be accessible for 2 hours and 45 minutes today.

This is what the maintenance schedule looks like:

  • Background maintenance will begin on all platforms at 2:00 p.m.
  • The servers go offline at around 3:15 p.m. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
  • During the downtime, Bungie will gradually roll out update 7.3.4 so players can download and install it on all platforms.
  • The shooter should be online again at 6:00 p.m. and you can log in again.
  • The maintenance will then continue in the background until 8:00 p.m.
  • This must be taken into account when dealing with downtimes: As long as the background maintenance is running, connection problems may occur in the game from time to time. In addition, queues can sometimes form when logging in because Bungie only releases access to the servers gradually in order to avoid problems caused by excessive server load. You may therefore have to wait longer until you are back in the game.

Also keep in mind that third-party applications and the official Companion app may also not be accessible properly for a while, meaning you won’t be able to use them.

That changes with Update 7.3.4 in Season 23

This will be fixed today: Late last year, Bungie began making some improvements to voice filtering in text chat. However, there are still problems. Guardians may see less or more linguistic content than before. However, Bungie wants to reduce these effects in its updates.

For Season 23, it was also announced that the seasonal challenge “A Wish Granted” currently requires 66 weekly challenges. Bungie will also correct this today to the intended number of 63 required challenges.

Otherwise, here are the latest issues that players have reported to the developer in the Help Forum that could also be fixed.

  • The totems in the Ruin of the Warlord dungeon are sometimes not spawning correctly.
  • In the description of the perk for the Winter Cunning Exotic Gauntlets, the term “trapped” appears instead of “frozen.”
  • Remastered Dreaming City weapons do not count toward the Cursebreaker title.
  • Guardians are not receiving the correct Triumphs after purchasing ritual ornaments for the Gallant Fire sword.
  • Some seasonal bonuses cannot be completed by Guardians. Only 9 are shown here instead of 10, even if you have completed everything.
  • Player name changes cannot be customized indefinitely via bungie.net. Many players are still waiting for the option to change their player name to return, rather than getting the message “You don’t have any name changes available.”
  • Patch Notes for Update 7.3.4 in Destiny 2

What’s in the patch notes? A full overview of all fixed issues and improvements will only be available this evening after the update goes live.

We will update our article and provide you with the link to the patch notes. Because it is possible that the patch notes will subsequently change or be corrected by Bungie.

That’s all the information about today’s update. If there are any unforeseen changes, we will of course keep you updated. So feel free to stop by again.
