During a traffic stop on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg, a man was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.

Chatham-Kent police said the man was also prohibited from driving. He was charged with operation while prohibited and released with a short date.

Break and enter investigation

Sometime overnight Friday, a house under renovations on Lorne Avenue in Chatham was entered and a number of tools taken.

Investigation leads to charges

Police said a man was currently on a probation order not to associate with another person.

The man was reportedly found breaching his probation order on Princess Street in Chatham and placed under arrest.

He was also found to be in possession of suspected controlled substances, police added. The man was charged with breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance and held for bail.
