There was a desire to organize a fraudulent census according

In Togo, the electoral census operations ended on the whole territory on June 14th. The opposition points to failures and calls for a resumption of operations.

In Togo, while the Independent National Electoral Commission is preparing to display the lists for verification and determine a final file, several opposition parties are asking for the resumption of operations in zone 1 where failures have been noted.

The National Alliance for Change (ANC) through its president, Jean-Pierre Fabre, asks the Minister of Territorial Administration to convene a meeting of the Permanent Consultation Framework in order to find a lasting solution to the question of the census .

This census went very badly, assures Jean-Pierre Fabre at the microphone of Peter Sassou Dogbe, our correspondent in Lomé. In the areas in which these censuses took place, there is a desire to organize a fraudulent census. I take the case of the Maritime zone. At one point, the CENI halted census operations while queues were still long at census centers. There, we try to prevent people from registering. We have just sent a letter to the Minister of Territorial Administration asking him to bring together the Permanent Consultative Framework, the CPC, to examine several outstanding issues, in particular the continuation of the census in the Maritime zone. Then, to ensure that the registrations of minors and foreigners in the Kara region, etc. be cancelled. »

A few days ago, Brigitte Kafui Adjamagbo-Johnson, coordinator of the grouping of the Dynamics of the majority of the people, was on RFI to ask for an extension of the census.
