Sigep 2023 bakers from all over the world compete in

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Bread in the Citythe international baking championship, returns to 44th edition of Sigep – the Dolce world Expo, which this year joins the seventh edition of AB Tech Expo (21-25 January 2023 at the Rimini fair). The event – explains Italian Exhibition Group in a motorbike – is organized thanks to the collaboration with Richemont Club Italy, an international organization of excellence in the bakery sector that promotes production processes and practices with a high artisan value.

Inside the Bakery Arena 9 teams from three continents (Europe, Asia and South America) will compete in the fifth edition of Bread in The City, international baking championship. The teams, coming from China, Croatia, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Holland, Peru, Portugal and Spain are made up of 2 competitors and 1 coach and will compete in five different specialties: Ciabatta and Pani Speciali; Free Breads; Viennese series; Oven cakes; and Salty Presentation.

During the 5 days of event, in addition to hosting the bread-making challenges, the Bakery Arena will become the center of activities specifically designed for the leavened product chain and carried out in collaboration with national and international sector associations, which will also present research and studies carried out ad hoc to outline the state and prospects for development of the sector, such as for example Aibi and Assipan, with the study carried out by Cerved on the consumption of bread between sustainability and new food trends; Italmopa, representing the voice of the flour world; Assipan; there Italian federation of bakers, confectioners and similar and the aforementioned Club Richemont.

The simultaneous presence of AB Tech Expo guarantees for the leavened supply chain the opportunity to keep up to date on all the main sector news such as machinery and systems, raw materials and ingredients, furnishings and equipment, window dressing and packaging, accessories for product presentation, packaging, franchisors, professional training and services.
