Brantford fire quickly brings fire at Ferrero under control

Brantford fire fighters put out a fire at the Ferrero plant on Thursday.
The call came in to the Brantford Fire Department just before 7 pm Upon arrival, fire fighters could see smoke coming out of what appeared to be a vent in the roof of the building, Deputy Fire Chief Scott Pipe, said.
Pipe said the fire was in a peanut roaster in the building.
Fire fighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading. The fire was out by 7:47 p.m., Pipe said.
No injuries were reported, Pipe said.
