This changes with Update 6.2.5.3 in Season 18

Far-reaching skill changes are already pending for Season 19.

With the start of Season 19 in early December, Destiny 2 will continue to improve the Guardian’s skills. Bungie doesn’t just mess with the gunslinger. The other classes are also getting changes towards more balance in the new DLC Lightfall.

But today’s Hotfix 6.2.5.3 for Season 18 first addresses 2 of the most annoying weapon issues in the Crucible and is intended to fix other issues in the game.

Current list of currently known issues:

  • Certain shaders are sometimes applying incorrect patterns to pieces of Festival of the Lost mech armor sets. As a note, once these issues are resolved, armor sets may display these shaders differently.
  • A Season 16 Badge dropped in the Week 10 Seasonal Challenge Planned Authority.
  • The source for the Retro Tourer exotic ship is incorrect.
  • Eva Levante’s weekly bounties were no longer granting the correct amount of Bright Dust after the release of Hotfix 6.2.5.2. Bungie intends to refund this at a later date.
  • Tower loading times continue to be slow, despite a concurrent player limit of 16. Guardians will still need to resort to the HELM to work around this bug. Bounties can be purchased through the official Bungie App.
  • Player name changes are not customizable through bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to change their player name multiple times instead of just once.
  • If you find problems in the game yourself, then it is recommended to report them directly via the official Bungie Help forum to make the developers aware of them.
