Mike sets out on a rescue mission with a small team to save the workers trapped in the mine. The problem: He only has 30 hours left because… The ice is already breaking beneath them. A race against time begins. None of those involved can afford to lose this.

Based on the crazy premise, The Ice Road sounds more like one of the action films that Gerard Butler is currently bringing to the cinema (Geostorm, Plane, etc.). If you’re tired of the usual Neeson bangers, this could be it crazy adventures be just the right change on the collapsing ice road.
However, the film was not well received by critics. “[The Ice Road] is a jumble of clichés and unremarkable action sequences that merge into a cacophony“said Slant Magazine at the time.
