Sweden strongly condemns the executions carried out in Iran in connection with the ongoing protests.

“Sweden and the rest of the EU oppose the death penalty always, everywhere and regardless of the circumstances,” writes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release.

In the intervening days, Sweden summoned the Iranian ambassador in Stockholm to express Sweden’s and the EU’s clear condemnation of death sentences and executions linked to the protests.

Iran’s former deputy defense minister Alireza Akbari has been sentenced to death for espionage, reports the semi-state Iranian news agency Tasnim according to VG.

  • The alarm: The oceans are warmer than ever

It has never been as warm in the seas as it was last year.

This is shown by a recent study which The Guardian reports on.

The temperature of the sea surface has a great influence on the weather in the world. Warmer seas increase the risk of strong hurricanes and typhoons and add more moisture to the air, leading to heavier rain and flooding.

    – Making measurements over the oceans is the most accurate way to determine how unbalanced our planet is, says one of the researchers, Professor John Abraham at the University of St Thomas in Minnesota.

According to the study, the oceans are now the warmest they have been in 1,000 years – and are warming faster than at any time in the last 2,000 years.

  • Detained 15-year-old is suspected of more crimes

The prosecutor has requested an extended detention period for the 15-year-old who is suspected of attempted murder and aggravated weapons offense after the shooting in Gubbängen in southern Stockholm on December 28.

He is also wanted in custody for another shooting in Gubbängen that took place earlier the same day. There, too, the 15-year-old is suspected of attempted murder.

“Both detention hearings against the 15-year-old will likely take place tomorrow Thursday in Södertörn district court,” writes the Prosecutor’s Office.

  • Lack of winter clothing for the police

Tomorrow, an EU meeting begins in Kiruna. The police authority has prepared carefully for the event.

But despite all the plans and tight security, it could get really cold for the police. Now the alarm is being raised about a lack of warm winter clothing in the police region east.

Employees from all over the country are to be sent north, but in the eastern police region in particular there is a lack of warm clothing, according to the Police newspaper.

    – What has been missing is everything from jackets, trousers, boots, mittens and caps, a winter uniform simply, says Sara Walters, president of the Police Association in the East, to DN.

Now, by all accounts, things will work out for the police officers who are stationed in the north, but according to Sara Walters, the lack of clothing may become a problem in the future.

  • Father wanted in custody for murder of eight-year-old

On Sunday, an eight-year-old boy was found dead in a home in Luleå.

His father was rightly arrested on suspicion of murder. Now he is requested to be detained on probable cause, the higher degree of suspicion, writes SVT Nyheter Norrbotten.

    – The father is questioned and denies any crime, but we believe we have a picture of what has happened, said prosecutor Lindha Strömberg on Tuesday.

According to the channel, it was the eight-year-old’s mother who called the police after the boy did not come home to her.

On Wednesday, the coroner’s statement about what caused the boy’s death came. According to Lindha Strömberg, the results indicate that the boy was exposed to crime.

Detention hearing is held at Luleå district court on Thursday.

  • Politically inconvenient to bet on climate

1,200 top leaders, politicians and risk analysts have been asked in a new survey about the biggest challenges the world faces in the coming decade, writes TT.

In the report, carried out by the World Economic Forum, it is stated that the biggest challenge is the climate.

But due to the economically depressed situation, politicians are not expected to prioritize this type of investment in the next two years.

It is not “politically convenient” when households are pressured by increased interest rates, according to the report.

Hey! The review shows that the production company Mastiff described the job as working with the television production itself, but that the reality was different. So it depends on what you promise. For example, if we have a trainee reporter, you will at least get to be a reporter. And as far as I know, they usually enjoy it.
