In the statement made by the UAE news agency WAM, it was stated that UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is “saddened” by the death of his uncle and Al-Ayn Governor Sheikh Tahnun bin Mohammed.
It was reported that after the death of Sheikh Tahnun bin Mohammed, flags in the country were lowered to half-mast and 7 days of mourning were declared.
It was noted that from his young ages, Sheikh Tahnun bin Mohammed was with Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE, and gained experience.
It was stated that Sheikh Tahnun bin Mohammed worked together with Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE, during the establishment of the UAE in 1971.
It was reported that Sheikh Tahnun bin Mohammed is the director of the Ministry of Agriculture and the UAE’s oil and natural gas company ADNOC in the UAE.
