Bus and car on fire – road closed

At 9:16 p.m. there was a call about a traffic accident on national highway 52 south of Kumla.

It must be a bus and a passenger car that are on fire. It is unclear if anyone is injured.

Emergency services, ambulance and police are on site.

The road has been closed completely, and the Swedish Transport Agency expects that there will be a very large traffic impact until 01:00.

    A shooting occurred in downtown Avesta on Friday afternoon.

    According to the police, a property was fired upon.

    At 4:21 p.m., the police were alerted to Brottby in Vallentuna where a motorcycle driver collided with a car, the police write.

  • Meatballs may contain listeria – recalled

    Axfood is recalling ready-made meatballs from the Garant brand because they may contain listeria, the company states in a press release.

  • Suspect after release has been released

  • Woman arrested on suspicion of murder in Malå

    A woman has been arrested and detained on suspicion of the murder of a man in Malå, the police write on their website.

    On the night of Monday, a man in his 30s was found injured in a residence and later died of his injuries.

    The woman is suspected on probable grounds, the higher degree of suspicion.

    A man and boy under the age of 18 were arrested on suspicion of the murder on Monday. The man has been detained, while the boy was later released.

    Another man was arrested on Wednesday, but has been released at large. The suspicions remain but have weakened.

  • Three are convicted of plotting to assassinate the French president

    A court in France today sentenced three men from a far-right group to prison.

    They are convicted of having planned an attack on President Emmanuel Macron.

    Originally, 13 people were charged, all of whom are members of the far-right group.

    According to the verdict, they allegedly planned to attack Macron during a ceremony in France in 2018.

  • Why should reporters stand outside in the storm when reporting on the weather? They can report indoors so there are not too many disturbances and you can hear what they say. In addition, you should not be outside when it storms!
