Bus and car on fire – road closed
At 9:16 p.m. there was a call about a traffic accident on national highway 52 south of Kumla.
It must be a bus and a passenger car that are on fire. It is unclear if anyone is injured.
Emergency services, ambulance and police are on site.
The road has been closed completely, and the Swedish Transport Agency expects that there will be a very large traffic impact until 01:00.

Shots were fired at houses
A shooting occurred in downtown Avesta on Friday afternoon.
According to the police, a property was fired upon.
The police are investigating the incident as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences.
They have cordoned off the area.
No one was injured in the incident.
A person seriously injured in an apartment fire
There is a fire in an apartment in Gislaved.
The police, emergency services and ambulance were called at around 8.30pm.
“Emergency services on site have announced that it is a fully developed fire and that smoke divers are needed,” the police write on their website.
A person has been found in the apartment. The person must be very seriously injured.
Truck has run off the road
A truck has driven off the road and into the ditch on the E6 at Strövelstorp outside Ängelholm, the police write on their website.
The extent of the injury is currently unclear. The motorway is completely closed in the southbound direction.
Stoltenberg: NATO reacts if Sweden is threatened

Sweden is much safer now than before the application for membership in NATO. And so it is even if Finland were to be approved as a member before Sweden, according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, writes TT.
“It is inconceivable that Sweden would be exposed to military threats during the accession phase without NATO reacting,” says Stoltenberg at a meeting with Nordic journalists during the security conference in Munich.
MC driver to hospital after crash
At 4:21 p.m., the police were alerted to Brottby in Vallentuna where a motorcycle driver collided with a car, the police write.
The MC driver, who is a 45-year-old man, was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.
The extent of the damage is unclear.
Meatballs may contain listeria – recalled
Axfood is recalling ready-made meatballs from the Garant brand because they may contain listeria, the company states in a press release.
These are packages of 350 grams with a best before date of March 13 and packages of one kilogram with a best before date of March 12.
“We take this incident very seriously and are now investigating with the supplier how this could have happened,” says Susanna Wadegård, quality manager at Axfood.
According to Axfood, no cases of illness have been reported.
Suspect after release has been released
The man who was suspected of aggravated weapons offenses and aggravated promotion of escape after the acquittal of Milad Safi in Norrköping has been released.
The man has not been removed from the investigation, the prosecutor states.
– At the interrogations that have been held, he has provided information and we have now followed up on several of these. The combined result of that work means that I believe that the suspicions against him have weakened in terms of his possible involvement in the acquittal, says chief prosecutor Torsten Angervåg in a press release.
Suspected serious crime in Skogås
The police are currently investigating a serious crime in Skogås in Huddinge municipality south of Stockholm.
The police are tight-lipped about the case.
– I cannot say much more than that it is an investigation matter. It is a suspected serious crime and we have arrested a couple of people, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson for the police in the Stockholm region.
According to information to Aftonbladet, two people have been arrested.
The site will continue to be worked on during the evening.
– Forensic technicians are called to the scene, says Daniel Wikdahl.
The place is cordoned off and several seizures have been made.
Further arms packages to Ukraine underway
The government is preparing another military support package for Ukraine “as soon as possible”.
– We are now working in close dialogue with international partners and the Ukrainians on new support packages, says Defense Minister Pål Jonson (M) to TT.
A recent date that is symbolic is February 24, the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Woman arrested on suspicion of murder in Malå
A woman has been arrested and detained on suspicion of the murder of a man in Malå, the police write on their website.
On the night of Monday, a man in his 30s was found injured in a residence and later died of his injuries.
The woman is suspected on probable grounds, the higher degree of suspicion.
A man and boy under the age of 18 were arrested on suspicion of the murder on Monday. The man has been detained, while the boy was later released.
Another man was arrested on Wednesday, but has been released at large. The suspicions remain but have weakened.
Three are convicted of plotting to assassinate the French president
A court in France today sentenced three men from a far-right group to prison.
They are convicted of having planned an attack on President Emmanuel Macron.
Originally, 13 people were charged, all of whom are members of the far-right group.
According to the verdict, they allegedly planned to attack Macron during a ceremony in France in 2018.

Why should reporters stand outside in the storm when reporting on the weather? They can report indoors so there are not too many disturbances and you can hear what they say. In addition, you should not be outside when it storms!

But reporters in the field should like to be in places where most of us are not, so that we get a picture of what it can be like – for example in the middle of the storm. We have to thank all the brave reporters who dare to go out into the wind! (usually only for a short time!)
