When and where does House of the Dragon season 2 start?
The second season of House of the Dragon begins on June 16, 2024 on the US pay channel HBO (and its streaming service Max) and will be released at the same time at night June 17th on Sky Deutschland and WOW *. Eight new episodes have been announced for season 2.

What was going on again in season 1 of the Game of Thrones spin-off?
In season 1, after the death of King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) two claims to the throne in Westeros: That of Princess Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), who was appointed as successor by her father; and that of Prince Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney), who only came into the world after the king took Rhaenyra’s childhood friend Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) as his wife.

The first ten episodes ended with Alicent’s son Aemond’s (Ewan Mitchell) uncontrollable dragon killing Rhaenyra’s young son Lucerys (Elliot Grihault). The simmering war between Team Black and Team Green was finally sparked and threatens to set Westeros on fire.

The bitter one Battle for the Iron Throne continues. Which great houses of Westeros will join Queen Rhaenyra’s black side and which will join King Aegon II’s green side? Who is behind the second season of House of the Dragon?
House of the Dragon showrunner is Ryan Condal, who developed the spin-off with original author George RR Martin. He receives support in his fantasy vision from directors such as Alan Taylor, Clare Kilner, Geeta Patel, Andrij Parekh and Loni Peristere. Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi is once again responsible for the music.
