Kosovo statement from NATO! ‘We are ready to protect the peace’

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated in his statement to the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag that the situation in Kosovo is worrying.

Emphasizing that they will not allow the violence of the 1990s to return, Stoltenberg said, “I want to say this clearly, NATO troops are ready to maintain peace in Kosovo.” he said.

Demanding that Serbia and Kosovo return to the dialogue mediated by the European Union (EU), Stoltenberg stated that this is the only way to achieve permanent peace.

“TOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE”

Regarding Moscow’s threat to use tactical nuclear weapons in the Ukraine war, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg found Russia’s nuclear rhetoric “completely irresponsible”, but noted that the risk of Russia using nuclear weapons was low.

Stating that Russia is aware that a nuclear war can never be won and should never be started, Stoltenberg said, “Of course, we continue to follow Russia’s activities very closely. NATO is a nuclear alliance and nuclear deterrence has been working for 75 years.” He stated:

“IT IS IMPORTANT TO SAVE Ukrainians’ LIVES”

Stoltenberg stated that Russia can be expected to make more attacks on Ukraine’s energy network during the winter months and said, “Air defense is very important to save the lives of Ukrainians.” made his assessment.

Referring to the elections in Poland and the efforts to form a government in Slovakia, Stoltenberg said:

“Slovakia and Poland are reliable supporters of Ukraine. Both countries provide Kiev with significant military equipment, including warplanes. Whatever the future governments in Bratislava and Warsaw, NATO allies will continue to stand together.”
