As a special prosecutor, Starr investigated Democratic President Bill Clinton in the Whitewater real estate scandal and his affair with intern Monica Lewinsky. Starr was also part of the team that defended Trump during his second impeachment trial.
Starr died in Houston, Texas, of complications following surgery. He lived to be 76 years old.
