Halmstad goalkeeper Marko Johansson expelled after concussion

There were strange scenes that unfolded at the Friends Arena.

Halmstads BK had taken a lead just before the half-time break via Viktor Granath’s header, not entirely unfairly.

With about a quarter of an hour left, AIK received a penalty and Ioannis Pittas surely made it 1-1. But then goalkeeper Marko Johansson lost his composure and set the hook for Pittas. A big row was triggered and it ended with Johansson being expelled.

– It is not possible to protect Marko Johansson in anything. He loses it completely, bright red. He puts his team in the shit, says expert Nordin Gerzic in Discovery Plus.

AIK spent the remaining minutes feverishly chasing a lead but HBK held on with ten men and the match ended 1-1.
