Ekman-Larsson goalscorer again – among the top among the NHL’s defenders

Ekman-Larssons poked in a rebound at the end of the first period. The 1–1 equalizer was his seventh goal of the season.

Only Vancouver’s Quinn Hughes has scored more goals as a back in the league, with a total of nine goals. Ekman-Larsson ranks second among running backs along with Colorado’s Cale Makar, Los Angeles’ Drew Doughty and Edmonton’s Evan Bouchard.

In shared third place in the defenders’ shooting league are, among others, Pittsburgh’s Erik Karlsson and Buffalo’s Rasmus Dahlin with six goals.

Looking at the defenders’ points, it is instead Victor Hedman who occupies a shared third place together with Bouchard, with a total of 27 points. Hughes leads the running backs in scoring with 36 points, followed by Makar with 34 points.

Minnesota forward Joel Eriksson Ek scored 2–1 against Edmonton and teammate Marcus Johansson accounted for two assists. But the efforts were not enough for a victory, Edmonton won 4–3.
