Decisions on moving students with NPF diagnoses in Örebro are appealed

Beef is the best Netflix series of the year so

It was in December last year that the Elementary School Board in Örebro decided that the student group at Eken at Lillån’s school should move to Olaus Petriskola starting in the fall of 2023. The reason is that the premises that Eken currently has are needed for the growing number of upper secondary students.

What the students at Eken have in common is that they have different neuropsychiatric disabilities, but they live in different parts of Örebro. Parents protested even before the decision was made and want the students to remain where they are safe.

Decided in the administrative court

An extra investigation was carried out by the municipality, but in December the move was canceled. Shortly afterwards, the decision was appealed and now it is up to the administrative court in Karlstad to make a decision.

The clip below is from December. Madelene Spinord Semenets (S) explained the decision and parent Kevin Krantz shared his concerns.
