Black clouds have filled the streets of Pier Lombardo in the Porta Romana area since a fire broke out on Thursday.
According to Milano Today a truck is said to have caught fire and spread to a building and five empty cars were parked nearby.
One person is said to have been injured on the hand with burns.
The rescue service in Lombardy is said to be on the scene and witnesses tell the newspaper that they heard explosions.
A nearby school has been evacuated and the children are said to be fine, according to the report Italian Sky tg24.
At the moment, it is unclear what caused the fire, but several media outlets write that something may have exploded in the vehicle.
