The Swedish NHL star now admits his thoughts on the WC.

He is one of Sweden’s top players in the NHL and a real world defenseman. 33-year-old Victor Hedman has won both WC gold in 2017 and was named the world’s best hockey back in 2018.

In the future, Victor Hedman is also very much looking forward to playing in the Winter Olympics with Tre Kronor, as the championship in Cortina 2026 could be his very first and last Olympic participation.
– It feels incredibly fun, it’s big. I’ve never had the chance to play in the Olympics yet, so it’s a big intermediate goal I have there in the future. Precisely for my own part, it may be the last time it is possible that I can play the Olympics, he says to the television channel.
– We can start with this four-nation tournament as a small starter, if you say so. Then there will be the Olympics in Italy and it is holy ground for Swedish hockey. So it would have been inspiring and fun to be part of that journey.

Hedman sees Tre Kronor as a major contender for the Olympic gold if they bring all the top players from the NHL.
