The atmosphere was effervescent at the Stade de Paris-Congo in the 6th arrondissement of Ndjamena. From the top of the podium, Albert Pahimi Padacké was not kind to his rivalsthe president of the transition Mahamat Idriss Déby and Prime Minister Succès Masra.

He criticizes them in particular for poor management of the transition: “ Mahamat Idriss Deby and Succès Masra, people who have shown their incapacity. I know that these two candidates are a threat to the unity of Chad. I take time for Mahamat Idriss Deby, who eliminated all the Northern candidates to be the only Northern candidate in this election. Let’s look at Succès Masra, it is the very symbol of the inter-ethnic division in Chad. »

According to him, the duo at the head of the state would also be responsible for the lack of electricity. “ In October 2022, Chad produced 85 MW per dayhe proclaims. Today, as we speak, Chad produces less than 20 MW per day. If these two win the presidential electionChad must return to the hurricane lamp », quips the candidate.

If elected, Albert Pahimi Padacké promises to serve a single mandate: “ I, president, will serve only one term, he promises. Because staying in power forever is a source of conflict. »

Albert Pahimi Padacké is running for the fourth time in the presidential election. He was prime minister twice and minister several times during the reign of the late President Idriss Deby Itno.
