In the story of the Borderlands film adaptation, treasure hunter Lilith (Cate Blanchett) involuntarily returns to her home planet of Pandora. Here she should missing daughter of the powerful ruler Search for Atlas (Édgar Ramírez). To do this, she joins forces with the ex-mercenary Roland (Kevin Hart), the young rebel Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), the muscleman Krieg (Florian Munteanu), the not exactly mentally stable scientist Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis) and the cheeky robot Claptrap (Jack Black) together.

On the sci-fi planet, the group must fight monsters and bandits while discovering that the missing girl holds the key to the fate of the universe.
