Australia offers climate asylum to residents of Tuvalu islands

Australia will welcome climate refugees from the Tuvalu Islands. This Friday, November 10, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that the two countries had signed an agreement to allow the 11,200 inhabitants of the archipelago to come and settle in Australia. The archipelago is considered the first country whose existence is threatened by global warming and rising sea levels.
