Man charged after Blenheim apartment clashes police

A Chatham woman was arrested late Friday night after allegedly punching citizens at random.

Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of an intoxicated woman on King Street in Chatham around 11:50 pm

Police said it was learned the accused had allegedly punching citizens at random and broke a mirror on a vehicle.

A 26-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault and mischief, police said.

She was held in custody until sober then released with a court date.

Booze stolen during break-in

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a break and enter in Morpeth.

Police said about $1,000 damage was caused during the break in on Talbot Trail, which resulted in numerous bottles of alcohol being stolen.

Three Brampton men arrested in Chatham

A report of a suspicious vehicle at a St. Clair Street business in Chatham around 10 am Friday led to the arrest of three Brampton men.

Investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen from Mississauga, said Chatham-Kent police.

Officers arrived at the business and arrested three men, police said.

Two types of drugs were located inside the vehicle following a search by officers, police said.

The three accused, age 44, 41 and 24, all had warrants for their arrests throughout other jurisdictions in Ontario, police said.

They were charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and two counts of drug possession, police said.

They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
