8 Star Wars Characters That Might Return In Andor

The launch of a new Star Wars series on Disney+ can only mean one thing: we’ll be seeing many familiar characters from a galaxy far, far away. Especially if it’s a prequel to one already known story acts. This is exactly the case with Andor.

Set five years before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, we learn the Origin story from Cassian Andor. Two more Star Wars faces are confirmed: Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera. We’ve collected eight other characters that could make an appearance in Andor and speculate on their cameo likelihood.

Where Mon Mothma is, Bail Organa can’t be far. Both characters play an important role in the foundation of the rebellion and are later also in Rogue One at the start. Jimmy Smits also recently made an appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi. His involvement with Andor makes perfect sense in every way.

Another character that could appear alongside Mon Motham is Palpatine, who is the Emperor stopping by a Senate session. As well as Jimmy Smits, Ian McDiarmid guest-starred in Obi-Wan Kenobi and is coming up in The Bad Batch Season 2. His return to Andor would certainly be an option.

  • Star Wars Returns in Andor: Grand Moff Tarkin

Andor tells not only about the founding of the rebellion, but also about how the empire is poor in power in the galaxy. A key figure here could be Grand Moff Tarkin. Hopefully this time he won’t return as a CGI clone of Peter Cushing, but will be cast with a new actor.

  • Cameo Probability: 51 percent
  • Star Wars returns in Andor: Orson Krennic

Even more likely than Tarkin is the return of Orson Krennic. The big Rogue One villain is also likely to have been around by the time of Andor with the Evolution of the Death Star being busy. According to series creator Tony Gilroy, the series moves right up to the beginning of Rogue One. Ben Mendelsohn would fit in well there.

  • Star Wars returns in Andor: Jabba the Hutt

Jabba the Hutt in Return of the Jedi

Cassian Andor actor Diego Luna is a huge Jabba the Hutt fan and has expressed on numerous occasions how much he would like to touch the slimy villain. We sincerely hope that Andor granted him this wish and we get a scene where Cassian gets very close to the crime boss.

  • Cameo Probability: 23 percent
  • Star Wars returns in Andor: Ahsoka Tano

    Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian

Lucasfilm always finds a way to bring Ahsoka Tano back, as the recent announcement of the animated series Tales of the Jedi proved. She could also stumble through the picture in Andor. We probably won’t see Rosario Dawson again in the role until Mando season 3 and her own spin-off series.

  • Cameo Probability: 11 percent
  • Star Wars Returns in Andor: Admiral Raddus

A special Rogue One connection in Andor could be a scene with Admiral Raddus. In the movie he plays Mon Calamari only a supporting role. In the circle of the rebellion he is an all the bigger name for it. If Cassian gets in touch with Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera, we might get more context on Raddus as well.

  • Cameo Probability: 48 percent
  • Star Wars returns in Andor: Enfys Nest

    Enfy’s Nest in Solo

Since both stories are set in the same time period, Andor could also feature characters from Solo: A Star Wars Story, such as Han and Qi’ra. But one would be even more exciting almost forgotten figure: Enfy’s Nest. Played by Erin Kellyman, the fighter has an intriguing connection to the Rebellion.

  • Cameo Probability: 51 percent
  • In addition, there is many more characters, whose return would be possible. Gilroy could basically bring back the entire Rogue One cast little by little. One name we should definitely look forward to again in Season 2: K-2SO, played by Alan Tudyk, joins the series in overtime.
