Twilight star Kristen Stewart is starring in a vampire film again – but this time with a Dune actor and an absolute wildcard director

Twilight star Kristen Stewart is starring in a vampire film

With films like her new Love Lies Bleeding, Kristen Stewart proves again and again that she neither then nor now deserves all the hate that came her way through the Twilight saga. She seems completely done with the topic Vampires but not yet, because she is currently working on her bloodsucker rehabilitation via Flesh of the Gods.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, she is standing with Star Wars star and Dune daddy Oscar Isaac in front of the camera of an absolutely wild filmmaker who has produced some of the most unpredictable genre experiments in recent years: Mandy director Panos Cosmatos.

Not exactly Twilight: Glamorous vampire horror with Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac

Flesh of the Gods is about a married couple, Alex (Stewart) and Raoul (Isaac), who live in luxury and throw themselves into the nightlife in Los Angeles in the 80s. They meet a mysterious woman and her hard-partying following, with whom they fall into one surreal nightmare of glamour, hedonism and violence fall.

The whole thing was written by Sieben author Andrew Kevin Walker, whose script is due to be filmed this year.

Director Cosmatos about his new project:

Like Los Angeles itself, Flesh of the Gods lives in the liminal realm between fantasy and nightmare. Both driving and hypnotic. Flesh will take you on a hot rod joyride into the deep glittering heart of hell. Podcast: The 15 best series starts in May on Netflix, Amazon and Co.
