The Swedish website Dumpen was founded in 2021 by the Swedish high jump legend Patrik Sjoberg and Sarah Nilsson.

Their work consists of preventing sexual abuse against minors by posing as minors and chatting with adults. Over the years, several individuals have been suspended from the site, resulting in more and more voices being raised against their approach.

In a judgment from the Gävle district court, which Nyheter24 has seen, an 18-year-old man has chosen to seek out and chat with various people. The aim must then have been to pretend to be a 13-year-old girl. In the verdict it appears that, according to his own statement, he acted with Dumpen as a source of inspiration.

Seeking out, threatening and blackmailing victims

But the 18-year-old differs from Sjöberg and Nilsson on several points. He is said to have sought out those he chatted with, threatened them and then pressured them for money by threatening the individuals with hanging them out on the internet.

Now the Gävle district court has sentenced the man for extortion, attempted extortion and illegal threats. The penalty is imprisonment for 2 years and 6 months.

In the same case, there must also have been another person co-accused, along with the 18-year-old, but he is cleared of the suspicions.
