You can now specifically farm the best items in Diablo 4 – players calculate how long this will take

Uber Uniques are the best items in Diablo 4, but have been considered useless for a long time since release – because almost no one could get them. Now, in Season 2, the weapons and armor are much more accessible. Nevertheless, you have to invest a lot of time, as players show.

These are the items:

How long does it take me to farm? In a thread on Reddit, a user calculates how much time he needs to find the Uber Unique he wants. The basis: You can only summon Duriel by using Living Steel.

You can only get this material in Hellfloods and sparsely at that. Players expect 5-6 drops per flood. In the calculation, the player shows how many Hell Floods he needs to get enough steel so that he can summon Duriel enough times to statistically drop an Uber Unique.

However, in a comment someone with apparently greater mathematical understanding shows that this calculation is wrong and corrects it with complicated mathematics:

Wizards, hunters and druids therefore need:

  • 173 kills on Duriel for a 50% chance
  • 346 kills for a 75% chance
  • 1,149 kills for a 99% chance
  • Barbarians and Necromancers would need:

  • 208 kills on Duriel for a 50% chance
  • 415 kills for a 75% chance
  • 1,379 kills for a 99% chance
  • Wizards, hunters and druids have a smaller pool of specific items, which makes it easier for them. Note: we are not a math site. If anyone finds errors in the invoice, please comment.

In the worst case scenario, this corresponds to around 2,300 Hellfloods if you get 6 Living Steel there. The numbers sound high, but they are for a specific Uber Unique. If you just want to have one, the values are between 34 and 228 kills (corresponds to up to 38 floods).

    “People’s demands are annoying”

In the same thread and earlier, players are discussing how the low drop rates and the required farm aren’t that bad. On the one hand, it’s good that you don’t just have everything thrown at you.

So you have something to do and in Diablo 2 it was almost impossible to find the best runes yourself. On the other hand, you wouldn’t need Uber Uniques at all. Although they are the “best in slot” for many of the best builds in Diablo 4, they are by no means build-defining.

The difference to Diablo 2 is that you can’t simply exchange here because trading with Uber Uniqes is limited. Nevertheless, these items are an absolute luxury problem. You don’t need them to play a good build and have fun.

You can be all the more happy if you do find an Uber Unique. That would be a great moment. In general, Season 2 is doing a lot of things right at the moment, the players think:
