The warning applies from 01:00 on New Year’s Eve to 18:00 on New Year’s Day. Traffic may move more slowly, especially in open landscapes, which have not had time to clear snow or due to traffic accidents.
There is also a risk of delays in bus, train and air traffic as well as canceled departures.
Areas with overhead power lines can be affected and at a temperature close to zero degrees cause disturbances in the electricity and telecommunications supply, according to the issued warning message.
