Women in their 60s are convicted of gross fraud – cheated on wage benefits

The women are convicted of gross fraud after cheating on wage benefits. The women, who are in their 60s, told the Employment Agency that one woman had a job at a cultural association, although she actually worked at a sports association.

Community service 160 hours

The women are now sentenced to a suspended sentence and community service for 160 hours. The women do not appear in the crime register since before and according to the prosecutor there is no increased risk of recidivism and therefore community service is deemed appropriate.

Over half a million kroner has been wrongly paid out over a three-year period and now the women together must pay damages to the Employment Service of kroner 607,477.
