A woman in her 40s is arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Västerhaninge, south of Stockholm.
The police were alerted at six o’clock on Sunday morning that there was an injured person in a residence.
– There was an injured man and woman in the apartment, says police spokesperson Towe Hägg.
The man, who is 45 years old, had been injured by a sharp object. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. His condition is described as stable, although it was initially assessed as life-threatening.
The apartment was cordoned off for a technical examination.
