It took a whole decade, and then the time had finally come. Halo is an action series. After the recent sci-fi series, there have been a lot of reviews and the video game adaptation can now be streamed on Sky and Amazon. With the latter source, the episodes can be purchased individually or in the form of an entire season pass. The start is the same surprisingly dark and gory.

Basically, the big Halo conflict between the human military complex of the UNSC and the religiously tuned aliens of the alliance (“Covenant”) is the background of the series. However, the adaptation also illuminates the fate of human rebels, who are being brutally crushed between aliens and UNSC elite warriors (so-called “Spartans”) in the first episode.

Their leader John-117 (Pablo Schreiber) meets rebel teen Quan Ah (Yerin Ha) and discovers an alien artifact, that his instructor Dr. Halsey (Natascha McElhone) is dying to get his hands on. At the same time, the alliance aliens and their human chosen one, Makee (Charlie Murphy), are also pursuing this goal.
In this Halo exchange of blows, especially the surprisingly gory action sequences let see. Responsible for this is Otto Bathurst, who has already gained a lot of series experience with Peaky Blinders or His Dark Materials.
