Victor Hedman overtakes icon Börje Salming in the Swedish shooting league in the NHL: “It’s sick”

Tampa Bay’s Victor Hedman’s 151st NHL goal, in the game against Minnesota, meant he passed Börje Salming in the Swedish defensemen’s scoring league.
– It’s crazy big to even come close to Börje, says Hedman to Aftonbladet.

Victor Hedman is now alone third in the Swedish backers’ shooting league which is topped by Nicklas Lidström (264) and Erik Karlsson (185).

Hedman says it means a lot to overtake Salming.
– It feels really big.

In addition to the goal, in the 7–3 victory, Hedman accounted for three assists. He is thus third in the season’s scoring among NHL defenders with 44 points in 43 games.

After two more goals for each team in the middle innings, Tampa was able to really tighten its grip on the game in the third period and then win for the fourth game in a row.

Minnesota’s goaltender Philip Gustavsson made 31 saves.

Buffalo’s star quarterback Rasmus Dahlin made the final score against Chicago 3–0 when he fired the last puck of the game past the Chicago goaltender Arvid Söderblom.

It was Dahlin’s 13th goal of the season, which is the most of any defenseman in the NHL.

Nashville’s Gustav Nyquist scored the final and decisive goal of the night’s win against Los Angeles, which ended 2–1. Los Angeles Adam Kempe was noted for an assist.

Vegas crushed New York Rangers 5–1, with Swede Mika Zibanejad who accounted for Rangers’ only goal.
