It was yesterday morning that a swordsman went on the attack in Hainault, East London.

14-year-old Daniel Anjorin was killed and four people were injured by the swordsman. Anjorin, who attended Bancroft’s School in the Woodford Green block, was wearing his school uniform when he was killed.

The Sun reports.

The 14-year-old is described as a diligent student and as “positive and kind”. The school flag flew at half mast today.

He was interested in football and an Arsenal supporter, writes The Sun.

Friend: “Purposive guy”

A person in the neighborhood and friend of Daniel Anjorin whom the newspaper spoke to says that they decided that they would have played football together.

– He was a very determined guy. I support Manchester City, he supports Arsenal, it was a good rivalry, says the friend.

It was just before seven in the morning that the attack began. The suspect drove a van into the neighborhood.

A 33-year-old man was injured when he was hit.

After that, the swordsman ran around the residential area and attacked passers-by.

The attacks are believed to have been random.

The police: No act of terrorism

12 minutes later, the first police patrol arrived, but it was too late.

According to British media, the 36-year-old swordsman was arrested 22 minutes after the attack began.

At first it was rumored that it was a terrorist act, but this was immediately denied by the police.

“The incident is not to be considered an act of terrorism. We do not believe this is a targeted attack and we are currently determining the circumstances,” police wrote in a statement after the incident.
