All VRL regular seasons will begin the week of February 14. The dates and formats for determining the teams that will compete in the VRL regular seasons:

An open qualifier will take place from January 24 to 30 in the VRL, which includes teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Open qualifying rounds will be held in the form of BO3 groups, limited to 128 teams, according to the double elimination system. The top eight placed teams of the open qualifiers will advance to the VRL regular season tournament.

Open and closed qualifiers will take place in Turkey VRL from January 25th to 31st. The teams that will participate in the VRL will be determined through two open qualifiers (January 25 – 26), followed by a closed qualifier (January 27 – 31).

All open qualifiers will be held as BO1, with the format reverting to BO3 for the last sixteen teams in the first open qualifiers and the eight final teams in the second open qualifiers. The MENA region’s VRL open qualifiers will be held from January 26 to 31. Due to the size of the region, the MENA is divided into two sub-regions:

Sub-regions will hold open qualifying within themselves and these will be split into two phases. The first stage will be between 64 teams divided into eight groups of eight. Teams within the groups will play one round each, and the two top-ranked teams from each group will advance to the next stage of the open qualifiers.

In the second stage, the remaining 16 teams will face each other in a single elimination format, in the BO3 group system, and the group winners will be matched with the runners-up of the other groups. As a result of these matchups, the top four teams, ie a total of eight teams from both subregions, will qualify for the VRL MENA.

The open and closed qualifiers for VRL Northern Europe — the league covering Scandinavia, Ireland and the United Kingdom — will be held from January 26 to 30.

Teams will start the open qualifiers in the single elimination system, in the BO3 tournament format. The winners of this round will advance to the closed qualifier, where a 16-team double elimination tournament will take place, hosting BO3 matches. The top eight teams from the closed qualifiers will then advance to the VRL Northern Europe regular season. In determining these eight VRL teams, only the first two rounds of the upper and lower group of the closed qualifiers will be played.
