Wendick on the reactions in Slovakia: “Big question marks”

Directly from Bratislava in Slovakia, Christoffer Wendick talks about the reactions around the country.

– This happens so rarely in Europe. It was 38 years ago that a head of government was shot in an open street and it was Olof Palme in Stockholm. It is clear that this is something that arouses strong disgust.

A 71-year-old perpetrator was arrested on the spot. According to Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok, it is suspected that the shooting may be politically motivated, reports Reuters.

– There are many different things we hear about him that fall apart, he says.

Hear Wendick talk about some possible motifs that have been developed, in the video above.
