The NVWA has issued at least 31 fines to slaughterhouses in the province of Utrecht between 2015 and 2022. This concerns three slaughterhouses, in IJsselstein, Breukelen and De Hoef. Together they had to pay 142,500 euros, including for mistakes in stunning and killing animals and incorrectly using an electroshock device, RTL Nieuws reports.
