USA University of Michigan consumer confidence falls in August

(Finance) – The index that measures US consumer confidence has been revised downwards, according to the latest survey conducted by theUniversity of Michiganwhich published the final estimate.

In August, the index on consumer sentiment it stood at 69.5 points from 71.2 in the preliminary reading and against 71.6 in July.

Also revised downwards the component relating to expectationswhich is positioned at 65.5 points from 68.3 and against the expected 67.3, while the one on current condition it was revised to 75.7 points from the preliminary 77.4 points and up from 76.6 in July.
