UN: Israeli fire kills Palestinian journalist

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

The bullets that killed Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh were fired from Israeli weapons, according to a UN investigation.

Shireen Abu Akleh, 51, was shot dead in the head on May 11 while reporting on an Israeli raid in the city of Jenin on the occupied West Bank. She was an experienced correspondent for Al Jazeera and was very popular in Arab households.

Israel has said that the bullets that killed her may just as well have been fired from Palestinians in the area, but investigations by, among others, the independent journalistic network Bellingcat, the news agency AP and the newspaper The New York Times have blamed Israeli soldiers.
