Ukraine claims to have managed to damage one of the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet with a maritime drone.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that Russia repelled a Ukrainian attack on its naval base in the Black Sea the night before Friday.
Ukraine’s armed forces tried to strike Russia’s Novorossiysk naval base with two maritime drones, or unmanned boats, the Russian Defense Ministry said messaging service in Telegram.
According to the ministry, the Russian ships destroyed the maritime drones.
Ukraine, on the other hand, claims to have managed to seriously damage one of the ships of the Russian Black Sea fleet, a British newspaper The Guardian reports based on an intelligence source from the news agency Reuters. The port of Novorossiysk is one of the largest on the Black Sea. It is also the terminus of the oil pipeline through which the vast majority of Kazakhstan’s oil exports pass.
In the port of Novorossiysk, the loading of oil onto tankers continues, but the movement of ships in the port is temporarily prohibited, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, which manages the oil pipeline, said, according to the Russian state-run Interfax news agency.
