Two people in custody – arrested with weapons outside the district court

The two young men who were arrested with a weapon on Wednesday outside the Attunda District Court have today been remanded in custody.
The men were detained on probable cause on suspicion of serious weapons offences.
– It is too early to say why they were at the scene with a weapon, but that is something we are investigating, says chamber prosecutor Johanna Strid.

The two young men are said to have been seen outside the district court on Wednesday morning when the police decided to check and arrest them. Today they were detained at Attunda district court.

– Both men are being held on probable cause for serious weapons offences, says chamber prosecutor Johanna Strid.

When the two men were checked, the police found a weapon. It has been seized and will undergo a technical examination. The police are investigating whether the men planned a shooting and whether there is a connection to any of the trials that took place on Wednesday.

– They try to look as broadly as possible around why they were at the scene, it is too early in the investigation to draw any connections, says Johanna Strid.
