Triton buys unit from Siemens Energy

The venture capital company Triton has bought Siemens Energy’s unit Trench, which manufactures high-voltage components. The press release confirms yesterday’s information from Handelsblatt. “Trench is ideally positioned to enable and benefit from the energy transition, which is an important investment theme for Triton,” writes the venture capital company. No purchase price is specified, but according to Handelsblatt’s sources, the sum would amount to a three-digit million euro amount. Trench has 2,400 employees and nine factories worldwide. The purchase, which is subject to customary regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed in the first half of 2024.
