The snow continues to fall over Skåne. In Österlen, road traffic has been paralyzed after the new snowfall.

It is still snowy in large parts of the country and in Skåne it is a difficult situation in terms of traffic where several roads have had to be closed. Among other things, one lane is closed on the E6 between Malmö and Vellinge. At the moment, there is no forecast for when it can be opened again.

Hundreds of trucks stuck
Skånetrafiken is suspending several bus routes in Österlen until 6 pm tonight. During Thursday morning, hundreds of trucks got stuck on road 19 between Everöd and Skåne Tranås, according to TV4 Nyhetern’s data.
– We know that there are several trucks there, but I dare not say if there are a hundred or so, says Bengt Olsson.
During the morning, a city bus in central Malmö drove over on the wrong side of the road and collided with a bicycle rack and several poles. The bus driver is suspected of negligence in traffic and driving under the influence of drugs.
– It is extremely serious and completely unacceptable. We will undertake a technical investigation and assist the police with everything we can to get to the bottom of the incident, says David Erixon, head of communications at Nobina, to Sydsvenskan.
Windier this afternoon
According to SMHI’s snow depth map, Sjöbo is the place in Skåne with the most snow, with 16 centimeters. During the afternoon, the wind from the southeast is expected to increase and this is something that can make the traffic situation more difficult.
– If you are going out on the road, you should follow the weather report carefully. Things can happen at short notice. Reduce your speed and keep your distance, says Bengt Olsson, press manager of the Swedish Transport Administration.
