On September 1st, the Season of Light starts in Pokémon GO. We at MeinMMO have looked at what events, spawns and bonuses await you in the new season and are showing them to you.

What season is this? In Pokémon GO there have been so-called seasons for some time, which extend over 3 months and thus change regularly. Each of them focuses on a specific topic, which is taken up with the help of stories in special research or at special events.

Now the Season of GO is coming to an end. In this, the focus was on the trainers going outside more and playing together, which is why special features such as the adventure smoke were implemented in the game. Another central role was played by Professor Willow’s disappearance in the Ultradimension.

The current season will therefore be replaced on Thursday, September 1st, 2022 by the Season of Lights. Everything will revolve around the universe, the sun, the moon and light, and the storyline of the ultra beasts will continue.

Of course you can also look forward to numerous spawns, bonuses and lots of events. We have summarized below what these will be.

When is the Season of Light running? The Season of Light starts on September 1st, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until December 1st, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. local time. As usual, it extends over 3 months.

All Season of Light events

The numerous themed events will again be an important part of the new season. A few days ago, Niantic announced the first dates for the Community Days in September, October and November. Further details on the events of the coming weeks are now available.

As already suspected in the past few days through various finds by the Pokéminers and initial hints from Niantic, you will encounter various new Pokémon in the Season of Light. The storyline of Professor Willow’s discovery is apparently continued. One Pokémon you will definitely encounter is Cosmog.

The legendary Psycho-Pokémon comes from the 7th game generation and can be further developed into Solgaleo and Lunala via Cosmovum. The monsters are visually reminiscent of the universe and various celestial bodies such as the sun (Solgaleo) and the moon (Lunala).

All bonuses and special features of the Season of Light
