The decision-makers of many countries say that they are looking forward to future cooperation with the new president.

President of Ukraine Volodomyr Zelenskyi thanks Stubb not only for the election victory but also for his solid support for Ukraine. Zelenskyi says that he is looking forward to the fact that “we can advance our relations and our common vision of a free, united and well-defended Europe”.

Also the prime minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson congratulates Stubb. Kristersson says Finland is Sweden’s “close friend and partner”.

Also the foreign minister from Sweden Tobias Billström joined the congratulators. Billström says that he has known Stubb for a long time and says that he is looking forward to working with the new president.

President of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen on the other hand, as a way of congratulating him, he uploaded a picture to social media where he and Stubb are standing together in front of the EU flag. Von der Leyen considers Stubb’s experience and “commitment to Europe” to be a strong asset.
