It all started when Elliot and his dad started posting clips where they bake on Instagram. Their account soon became popular and today has just over 80,000 followers. Then followed the SVT series Hemma hos Elliot, which has now been nominated for an international award at the TV festival Prix Jeunesse International 2022 in Munich. The series is nominated in the category Up to 6 Years Non-Fiction and for the UNICEF Special Prize.

Elliot was born with Crouzon’s syndrome, which causes his facial skeleton to develop in a different way. And through the series and the attention, the family hopes to shed light on and dramatize differences.

– We are very happy about the nomination. The exposure leads to more people seeing that it is okay to be different, says mother Hanna Maxstad.

The award ceremony at the festival takes place on 15 June.
