Sace signs two financial agreements worth 400 million euros for

(Finance) – SACEthe insurance-financial group specialized in supporting businesses and the national economic fabric, directly controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, today signed two financial agreements, for a total value of 400 million eurosaimed at the development of Italian exports in Serbia. The signing took place on the occasion of the Italy-Serbia Business Forum and in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Milos Vucevic.

In particular, the first agreement concerns a financing line of 200 million euros guaranteed by SACE in favor of Serbian Ministry of Finance. The financing is intended to support Serbia’s development plans and strengthen commercial relations in the transport, tourism, telecommunications, energy and IT sectors, with the aim of facilitating the access of Italian companies to the Serbian market.

The second agreementsigned with Telekom Serbiaprovides for financing of up to 200 million euros guaranteed by SACE to strengthen the commercial relationship with Italian exporters active in ICT services, commercial distribution and the purchase and sale of television rights.

The agreements, signed by Alexandra RicciCEO of SACE and from Dubravka Ðedovic HandanovicMinister of Mines and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, e Vladimir LucicCEO of Telekom Serbia, are part of SACE’s Push Strategy, the program which aims to open new opportunities for Italian companies, in particular SMEs, strengthening their positioning in the supply chains of primary foreign buyers, beneficiaries of financing medium-long term guaranteed by SACE.

“Serbia represents a market with great potential for our companies and today’s agreements will strengthen their positioning in key sectors for the country’s development. In particular, the green transition, the telecommunications sector and tourism are areas in which Made in Italy, with the support of SACE, can offer a fundamental contribution” – he declared Alexandra RicciCEO of SACE.

SACE is present with its office in Belgrade with the aim of supporting the Made in Italy, helping Italian companies to access the market and strengthen their operations in Serbia and the Balkans, with all the financial instruments, experience and skills of SACE, combined with the added value of a physical presence in the territory. L’Italian export to Serbia grew by 5.6% in 2023, exceeding 2.3 billion euros.
