The remodeling works of Son Moix begin

A public act attended by the authorities of the city and the island was the starting point for the remodeling works of the Visit Mallorca Estadi Once the season is over, they will begin with the aim of eliminating the athletics track and bringing the stands closer to the grass, a priority objective of a work that will add a roof to the sun stand, in a work made up of three phases.

In a symbolic act in which the first drilling was carried out, the club’s CEO, Alfonso Díaz, recalled that “Next week marks the 25th anniversary of the first stone of the Son Moix stadium and it was time to make a changeupdate this stadium and this is a step forward, it is looking to the future and continuing to grow with a strong investment in this club and in this city”.

According to Díaz “this is going to be a reference stadium for the city and for the citizens, this stadium that may seem like a closed area, we want to open it, we want it to be a stadium that meets the needs of the city and its people, a open and dynamic space in which events take place and that is alive 365 days a year, level of sport, social, cultural and leisure integration at the level of a great club such as RCD Mallorca, whose reform is designed for the fan”.

For her part, the architect of the project, Izaskun Larzábal, an architect who in her day also remodeled the Anoeta stadium, the Reale Arena in Donosti, pointed out in his speech that “for us, materializing ideas is the objective”, later adding technical details of what the remodeling of the Mallorcan venue will be.
