The summer of 2023 was the last season for Lotta at Liseberg. After 20 years on the popular summer scene told Lotta Engberg that she made the decision to drop out of the program. The reason was that she wants to be able to spend the summers together with her family.

– To have shared 20 years with the audience at Liseberg and 15 years at TV4 with a large sing-along audience at home on the sofas is the finest musical community I have known. “Friday 24 May from 14:00 to 16:00 you can meet Lotta Engberg in the department store as she is there to launch Gunry’s new collection of summer soaps that she has helped create,” the department store writes on its website.

Since 2020, Lotta Engberg has been with the doctor and the TV4 profile Mikael “Soldoktorn” Sandström. The couple met thanks to Lotta telling in an interview that she was happily single but that she could imagine “answering if Doctor Mikael calls”
Mikael heard about this and took up the offer. After a series of FaceTime calls back and forth, the profiles met and fell head over heels for each other.
